“I love the Fairview Park Community. I really like working with the people on City Council. It’s a good Administration.  It’s a huge regret. I’m very sad to be leaving.”  With these words to the Fairview Park City Council on June 26, 2018, Peggy Cleary resigned, advising that she is moving to Westlake, Ohio.

Peggy was elected to Fairview Park City Council in 2005 as Member-At-Large.  She is the only woman serving on the Council, and is currently the Finance Committee Chairperson.  Her resignation is effective July 31, 2018.  Her Council-At-Large term runs through the end of 2019, so unless City Council fills the seat in 30 days, Mayor Eileen Ann Patton will do so.

We are grateful to Peggy Cleary for her many years of service on City Council, and also in her role as City Leader for the Democratic Party during the past year. Best wishes in your new home, Peggy!  We’ll hope to see you at Democratic Party meetings in our neighboring communities!
