ENDORSED CANDIDATE

MAUREEN GALLON ADLER for Ward 3

ENDORSED CANDIDATE

BRIDGET KING for Ward 5

Hello. I am Bridget King and I am running for the Fairview Park City Council’s Ward 5 position. Born and raised westsiders (St. Angela Merici’s and St. Brendan’s parishes, respectively), my husband and I purchased our home in Fairview Park in 2003 because of our love of the community, schools, and residents.

For the past 15 years my career has developed as an ultrasound technologist at The Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus. Currently, I work in the neuro-vascular lab. In addition, I have been a Professional Lecturer and featured as a Vascular Technologist Subject Matter Expert for The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, the governing body for this profession. With support from my family and strong time management skills, I have been successful in blending my family and professional lives.

Bob and I have been married for 23 years this summer.  When we bought our house we knew this was the community for our growing family.  This past spring, our oldest daughter completed her freshman year at Kent State University after graduating from Fairview Park High School in the top 10 of her class. Our middle daughter will be a senior at Fairview High School, and while an athlete on several teams, her most recent accomplishment is being part of the women’s relay team that set a school record this past swim season.  Her artwork is displayed by Forward Fairview in the window of the car wash at West 211 and Lorain. Our youngest daughter will be in 8th grade and is active on student council, cross country, synchronettes, soccer, and softball.

Through 2017 my involvement within the community focused around my daughters and roles within their academic activities or athletic boosters. In 2018 I bridged out to broader community growth, as I ran for and was elected as the member of the County Central Committee for Ward 5A. Through this position I have registered voters in the community and passed on voter education in the form of door hangers, postcards, and phone calls to voters prior to the 2018 fall elections. I have enjoyed the opportunities this position offers me, including meeting new residents in our community and throughout Cuyahoga County. Being on Fairview Park City Council would be a new and exciting way for me to give back to the community.  I am asking for your vote because I have proven to be thoughtful, hard working, and honest.  I offer on open mind and ear and will bring my love for the city to this position. I look forward to more growth in Fairview Park.
